pH Up is a PH concealer of General Hydroponics with silicate: PH Up contains silicate, whose deficiency can be a limiting factor in hydroponic culture. This new pH control concept will allow you to adjust and stabilize your pH level, even when you grow fast growing plants. The degree of acidity or alkalinity of a solution plays an important role in the solubility of mineral salts and their absorption by the plant, but in pH, there is no ideal level: a high level promotes cationic absorption and a low level promotes anionic absorption. Any decision remains compromised. Moreover, not all are of the same opinion: Some researchers don't make a difference between levels ranging from 4.9 to 6.8! Others are much more subtle and adapt the level to each plant. It is generally recommended to stay between 5.5 and 6.5. Here we prefer to stay in the lower band and fluctuate cautiously between 5.5 and 6.2. An ideal pH regulator is a solution to use only once: when you start the system. We have not yet arrived, at least not yet in all situations and not with all fertilizers. But during the tests we carry out in our greenhouses, where we use our pH regulators along with Flora-series and Magic Mineral, we have maintained the same pH level for several weeks.

In some systems, the pH decreased progressively and a little pH Up reported it in balance. In other systems, it stabilized exactly around level 6.0.
